The format for the two-round match was East of England v West
of England. It was an exciting event and the chess was of an impressive
quality. After East won the first round 7-5, West took a 6-5 lead
in Round 2. The result hinged on the last game and after a tense
struggle, East came out on top. So the final result was East 13
West 11. Well done to all the girls who played!
